Objective:

Learn how to:

·      Capture network packets using tcpdump

·      Observe TCP and UDP communication between client and server

·      Identify TCP segments and UDP datagrams

·      Analyze packet headers in Linux

Requirements

·      Linux OS (Ubuntu/Debian/Fedora etc.)

·      Root or sudo access

·      Two terminal windows

·      Tools:

·      tcpdump

·      netcat (nc)
